There are many different forms of art in today's society. Art is everywhere you look. Whether it be your television set, your car radio, a magazine in a waiting room, a billboard on the side of the highway, or even the clothes on your back, creativity has run wild on the world and changed the way we live. The very first "Stoner Of The Week" couldn't be a better example of this.
An original soul in an otherwise unoriginal world, Org_Alternative has been one of the pioneers of the weed-art movement that's been sweeping the Cannabis community over the past year. This movement, also known as "ChronicArt" or "CreativeRolling", is when one or multiple forms of marijuana are used to create an image, sculpture, or any another form of art. What makes Org_Alternative stand out from the rest is his ability to succeed at all areas of weed art.
When it comes to "Creative Rolling", he's rolled up some amazing art. His collection of creative joints is vast and full of variety, including Santa Clause, Rudolph, a snowman, a tribal chief, a baked turkey, Frankenstein, Bugs Bunny, a voodoo doll, The Grinch, and many more unique joints. All in which are completely functional! The other common type of weed art is when one uses the actual flower, ground or in its natural form, to create an image or sculpture. Some of Org_Alternative's most famous works of this type include his Bob Marley mural, his Oscar The Grouch sculpture, and his collection of posts that feature a bud of marijuana enjoying various activities. "Errl Art" (using marijuana concentrates to create art) is another type of weed art that he succeeds to the fullest at. After making scorpions, flowers, fire breathing dragons, hummingbirds, scenic views, and the great hip-hop artists of our time, it seems Org_Alternative can create anything out of Cannabis.
I recently had a chance to sit down and catch up with my friend Org_Alternative to get some insight as to what's it's like being the face of this movement:
Me: "Org!! How's it going man?"
Org: "Everything's going good, constant work in my gardens keeps me happy, but really busy sometimes lol."
Me: "I can imagine! A growers life is a busy life. Well firstly, I want to say that I'm a huge fan of yours! Your Instagram feed, in my opinion, is THE most original and creative feed out there. So on behalf of stoners across the world, thank you for keeping us entertained!"
Org: "Thank you pri! I really appreciate the love and support. Never imagined I would ever have so many followers!"
Me: "Well it's no mystery why you do! So how long have you been smoking? And how long have you been growing?"
Org: "I've been smoking since I was 12, so 14 years. And I've been growing about 7-8 years now."
Me: "Wow 12! You started early! Haha. I don't grow but I've been around enough growers to know they love to talk about their trade! Why don't you go ahead and tell us a bit about your garden? Are you an indoor or outdoor cultivator? If you could, give us some insight on your methods and preferences."
Org: "All my gardens are indoor, only had an outdoor garden once a few years back but no more. I grow in coco at the moment with a few plants in 707 soil with mostly organic or veganic nutrients but do add a few synthetic boosters here and there. I grew in aeroponics for a few years but switched back to soiless mediums for the simplicity even tho the yields in coco are not as great as in aero and you need to grow larger plants as compared to aero. I still use aeroponics to clone tho."
Me: "I'm sure you flower is just as good as your creativity, which is what you're primary known for. Being able to make anything out of flower or extracts. Who are some of your influences, on or off Instagram? What inspires you to be creative?"
Org: "My cousin Glock_Team, i didn't know about IG until he told me about it. Honestly, his feed was what made me start doing things with weed. Your feed was probably one of the first I followed and was really inspiring as well. Alot of other feeds are inspiring, the 420 community really grew recently, its great!"
Me: "That's awesome to hear I may have had a small impact early on. I completely agree, Instagram has made it easier than ever to connect with others in the cannabis community. I was going to ask what your relationship with Glock was, but you answered that for me. Can we have a teaser as to what we can expect from you two in the future?"
Org: "Just a little collabs on some tees in the near future but we got some bigger things down the line."
Me: "Well I'm sure everyone will be stoked to see them! So when you do your art, do you have the ideas ahead of time? Do you have any ideas you haven't done yet? If so, give us something to look forward to!"
Org: "Nah, when I'm smoking I will just start thinking of stuff to do before I finish my blunt or joint lol."
Me: "That's awesome. Well your art is a true example of the originality and creativity that can be the product of smoking cannabis. You're an inspiration to me and I know many others. Thanks for sitting down with me and allowing our followers and fans to get some insight into your smoking and growing lifestyle. And I look forward to the dope things you have to come! Take it easy brotha!"
Org: "Thank you for all the support pri, really appreciate the kind words and all the help you've given my IG. I'm also really looking forward to seeing what you and the StankyySquad do next🙏."
I, for one, absolutely love when "stoner stereotypes" are proven completely wrong. The idea that marijuana dumbs you down or makes you contribute less to society is a complete myth. And as society continues to accept cannabis users, this will become more and more apparent. People like Org_Alternative are leaving their mark on the world. Breaking negative stereotypes and producing inspiring, thought provoking art are two simple ways to be a part of the marijuana movement. And by doing so, he influences others to do the same. This, among many other reasons, earns him the title of being my "Stoner Of The Week".

year!
